CIRRUS is a Nordic-Baltic network of Art and Design higher education. There are 22 excellent art and design schools from the Nordics and the Baltics in the circle of this cooperation. The central activities of the partner institutions are art and design, including innovative activities, technical development and artistic practices.

CIRRUS consists of leading Nordic and Baltic art, -design and architecture universities from Finland, Sweden, Denmark, Iceland, Norway, Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia. CIRRUS cooperation is regulated by Cirrus Collaboration Agreement.

Established in 1990, Cirrus is a Nordic-Baltic network of higher education institutions in design, arts and crafts. The Cirrus network operates within the framework of the Nordplus Higher Education programme. The main target group for all activities is students of the partner institutions. Objectives The objective of the Cirrus network is to shape the future of Nordic-Baltic design education together by:
– enhancing mobility,
– building community,
– driving discussions to develop our disciplines.

Activities Cirrus supports collaboration and exchange between members through initiating cooperation activities, sharing experiences and best practices. The core activities of the network are:
– Student mobility
– Teacher/Staff mobility
– Collaborative courses and projects
– Network meetings and seminars

There are 22 excellent art and design schools from the Nordics and the Baltics in the circle of this cooperation. CIRRUS is one of the most active NORDPLUS HIGHER EDUCATION NETWORKS, with several activities taking place annually.
