CIRRUS is a Nordic-Baltic network of Art and Design higher education. There are 21 excellent art and design schools from the Nordics and the Baltics in the circle of this cooperation. The central activities of the partner institutions are art and design, including innovative activities, technical development and artistic practices.

In September 2022, there are several inspirational events taking place in collaboration with CIRRUS institutions. In order to revitalise the CIRRUS network, we invite our dear members to apply for funding – either for groups (grant delivered to university accounts) or individual support (available for students only) in order to visit the following inspirational events:

Aalto Designs for a Cooler Planet
Oslo Architecture Triennale
Tallinn Design Festival 

For receiving the grant:

  • individual students need to fill in this form, sign it and have it also signed by home coordinator, thereafter send the pdf file to sandra.mell@artun.ee and we will deliver the grant from CIRRUS secretariat to you. The amount: 330 EUR travel (660 EUR from Iceland), 150 EUR daily allowance.
  • Groups of teachers and students: the coordinator in CIRRUS institution needs to fill in this form and send it to sandra.mell@artun.ee and we will deliver the grant from CIRRUS secretariat to you. The amount per person to take into account: 330 EUR travel (660 EUR from Iceland), 150 EUR daily allowance.

Requirements: 

The students and/or teachers must study/work at CIRRUS member institution
The students/teachers can only use the grant for travels to another CIRRUS country
The applications must be sent asap, but due September 15, 2022
The students/teachers must use the grant within September 2022
The students and/or teachers must document (photos, videos, blog) of the trip in relevant channels (social media, school/department homepage) and use #cirrusnetwork + cirrusnetwork.info when referring to the inspirational trip
