Open lecture on Zoom: professor and designer Eia Radosavljevic

Professor and designer Eia Radosavljevic presents a lecture on millinery, including a brief history of Euro-American fashion hats, followed by a series  of images showing felt headwear which is seamlessly formed over ‘hat blocks.’ Methodologies of hand-carving the forms and ‘blocking’ felt hoods over them are explained, to facilitate student studio work.

Ms Radosavljevic is owner/designer of Eia Millinery Design. Her studies under Balenciaga milliner Janine Galimard led to the position as headwear and embellishment professor at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago. Eia is a member of the Fulbright Specialist Roster.
